Artistic representation of flora, Fauna and geometrical designs are painted or hand-printed in paraffin wax on fabric. The wax resists the colorful shades of natural and chemical dyes. Village : Bhujpur, Anjar, Mundra and Mandvi.

In Muslim communities within the Banni region of Kutch, where women observe purdah, Mutwa Embroidery is most common. This craft is distinguished by its highly intricate work with tiny mirror: a very fastidious and labor intensive process,as islamic communities refrain from depicting human or animal forms on their embroideries.


Neren Embroidery is a cultural tradition in the Meghwar Harijan and Sodha Rjput communities.The embroideries of these communities are centuries old and passed down from mother to daughter. Neren is a lighter form ofof's name derived from nen, meaning eye brow in kutchi language, because the motifs resemble the shape of eye brows..most of the embroidery mofits in Neran embroidery are geometrical in shape. This embroidery is also combined with Pakko embroidery.

This is a free hand painting style,without using any prior sketched pattern on the Fabric.The Painting is done with 6 inch long ,thin metal styus , which is dippen into the colour and carefully turn to wrap the Rogan around. The Rogan Art of painting is an ancient art over three hundred years old.The Traditional Rogan Flower motifs and designs speak of a persion influance and the word Rogan it self means oil-based in Persian. Intricately painted fabrics are made by hand twisting colorful castor-based gum from a metal rod or stick into designs.the fabric is folded to create a mirror image of the painting. When the Sodhas migrated from Sindh between 200-500 Years ago, they brought with them a whole new language of stitches that influenced all whom they cane into contact with. The predominant style of embroidery is referred to as Pakko embroidery but Sodha Rajputs also utilize stitches such as Neran, Kharek and Kambhiri. This embroidery is able to convey material status, for women in this community wear an embroidered choli and jacket after marriage while windows wear plain, dark cloth.
